About The Position

Metropolitan Warehouse and Delivery is an essential critical business that needs people to help us support the economy, handling items that keep our communities as prepared as possible during these uncertain times.

We are hiring full-time individuals to load and unload packages in our fast-paced environment. Associates are responsible for warehouse duties including: the physical loading, unloading of heavy furniture and/or sorting of packages of varying sizes and weights by hand, including lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, scanning, placing packages, as well as physical bending, twisting, kneeling and etc. and operating warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Shifts may vary depending on warehouse package volume and business needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous warehouse inventory experience required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs or more
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work with heavy furniture
• Reliable attendance and flexibility in hours
• Forklift Operation Certification preferred

Nice To Haves

• Must work with heavy machineries, such as but not limited to cherry pickers, forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and other industrial equipment
• Forklift Operation Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Has overall responsibility for unloading and loading materials from trailers to warehouse
• Verifies the inventory quantity and assists in inventory level maintenance
• Maintains complete paperwork as needed
• Operates warehouse equipment in a safe manner and report any malfunctions or concerns regarding equipment
• Use heavy equipment to move product and put away in designated locations
