About The Position

Jersey Elevator, part of American Elevator Group (AEG), is seeking a Warehouse Associate for their Aberdeen, NJ location. AEG is the largest independent elevator service company in North America, backed by Arcline Investment Management and experiencing rapid growth. The Warehouse Clerk & Non-CDL Driver, reporting to the Warehouse Manager, will primarily be responsible for arranging shipments, inspecting and verifying goods, managing inventory of shipping materials, and operating a forklift. The role also involves completing deliveries on behalf of the warehouse when necessary, with the workload fluctuating between warehouse-focused and driving-focused tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and class: D (standard) driver license.
  • Working knowledge of computers.
  • Experience with forklift operations.
  • Capable of physical labor (lifting, moving inventory, etc.).
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Highly flexible and a strong colleague.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to grasp an understanding of warehouse procedures and regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, and ship orders, receive inbound, inventory put away, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing.
  • Complete deliveries in the tri-state area via fourteen-foot or sixteen-foot box trucks, as required.
  • Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
  • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe.
  • Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
  • Assist in counting of physical inventory.
  • Weigh and count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
