Warehouse Associate
About The Position
- Team member will be involved in receiving department, shipping department, and carousel (order picking) department. - Duties of each department vary. Receiving will involve the intake of parcel and freight shipements. Unloading of freight carrier trucks will be done with sit down forklift. Inspect containers and material reporting any damage or missing items noticed. Unloading of UPS parcel truck will require hand unloading. Parts will be received in after purchase order processing and parts verification. - Items will be received in and then dispersed to carousel putaway totes or to the racks. Receiving putaways will be completed via reach truck forklift and small stock picker like equipment. Handling and maneuvering of hose reels and various sized/weight items will be required. - Shipping duties include packing items into appropriate shipping containers i.e. envelopes, bags and boxes, creating packing lists and shipping labels through various shipping management systems. - Carousel will involve parts picking and order management via picking software and carousel hardware. Parts will be picked utilizing Pick to Light systems, verified for accuracy, then bagged, tagged in a quality driven fast-paced process. - Ability to stare at computer screens for long durations. Ability to read and identify item part numbers is required.
Requirements
- GED
- 6 months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Reads and follow written work instructions
- Possess strong mathematical skills
- Able to demonstrate a sense of urgency
- Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs
- Ability to become forklift certified (we can train)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to stare at computer screens for long durations
- Ability to read and identify item part numbers
