About The Position

The Warehouse Associate will manage the warehouse operations and staff as well as participate in a variety of general warehouse activities including but not limited to Shipping, Receiving, Order Filling, Merchandise Handling, Packing and Processing, Fulfillment and Warehousing. Manage warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with executive management and other team leads Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employees Loading and unloading materials, parts, or products onto or from pallets, skids, or trucks Assisting with inventory cycle-counting Negotiate tariffs/rates with shipper and LTL freight companies Determines best price and method of shipment to meet customer deadlines Prepares packing lists and shippers Receives shipments - Inspects and verifies incoming shipments against purchase orders Processes shipping damage claims. Contacts transport companies and suppliers in order to expedite, trace or return merchandise that does not conform to specifications or purchase orders. Handles customer pick-ups. May operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods Maintains internal record-keeping systems Builds, assembles containers and crates, packs goods to be shipped and prepares identifying information and shipping instructions Picks up materials as needed Knows safe storage and handling procedures for various chemicals and materials Takes inventory, maintains storage area, organizes and places stock on shelves or shop floor. Ensures area is secure at all times. Keep a safe & clean work environment: keeping shelves, pallet areas, floors, and workstations neat; sweep, dust and wipe down when and where necessary. Maintaining or advising when equipment needs special attention. Ensures safety procedures are being followed Conducts Quality Control before products are shipped Physical Demands: These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee may be required to: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is required to use hands to type, handle, or feel objects, tools and computer controls. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. Move about the work site working around people and equipment. Occasionally ascends/descend a ladder or stairs Operate tools or equipment. Positions self to install or remove equipment, including maneuvering in small spaces Frequently communicates with customers and co-workers while performing job tasks

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older

  • Access to reliable transportation
