JOB SUMMARY Receives, inventories, and dispatches rolled carpet goods and supplies based on daily production schedule in most cases by operating a forklift. The position reports to a Site Operations Manager.

Requirements

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check.
  • Must be able to submit proof of employment eligibility.
  • Able to life 75 lbs.– 100 lbs.

  • Previous experience in warehouse, construction, distribution, logistics, or customer service
  • Forklift Certification/License
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills, ability to provide a positive and professional experience

Responsibilities

  • Retrieves supplies and materials by studying daily pull tickets; locating and verifying correct materials; secures carpet rolls on truck; moves rolls via forklift to storage location.
  • Maintains inventory of supply products by anticipating and tracking usage.
  • Monitors inventory by reporting discrepancies.
  • Clears storage area by securing and moving carpet rolls to storage location;
  • Moving furniture at customer's homes (when applicable)
  • Standing/driving
  • Tear out of existing material (when applicable)
  • Documents actions by logging movement of supplies, materials, and carpet rolls.
  • Maintains safe work environment by watching out for foot traffic; following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Keeps forklift operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Accomplishes warehousing and organization mission by completing related tasks as needed.
  • Provides supplementary phone coverage during breaks and down time for office staff.
  • Attend training as directed by local manager and support teams
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Performs customer service duties as necessary including: scheduling, Dialpad communications, and resulting jobs.
