About The Position

As a Warehouse Associate at United Rentals, the world's largest equipment rental provider, you will be responsible for staging, loading, and unloading finished products and raw materials. This role involves stocking and maintaining warehouse inventory, ensuring products are in proper locations, and assisting the manager with location assignments. You will contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, assist with cycle counting, and manage inventory levels. Key tasks include loading/unloading structural components onto/off delivery trucks, visually inspecting deliveries for damage and verifying quantities, and pre-assembling structure components prior to deployment. The position requires operating a forklift safely and efficiently to move heavy equipment and structural components. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Previous warehouse experience
  • Experience warehouse working in the construction rental industry
  • Forklift certification
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently as needed
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems
  • Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure product is in proper locations, place product in correct bin locations, and assist the manager in assigning locations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment at all times
  • Assist with cycle counting throughout the year, maintain proper inventory levels, and notify the appropriate personnel when stock is low
  • Load/unload structural components onto/off delivery trucks
  • Visually inspect deliveries for damage and verify quantities delivered against the packing slip for accuracy
  • Prep and assemble structure components that can be pre-assembled prior to deployment
  • Operate a forklift to move heavy equipment and structural components safely and efficiently
  • Other duties assigned as needed
