Summary: Receives, stores, and issues equipment, material, supplies, merchandise or tools, and compiles stock records in stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard by performing the following duties. This job encompasses all aspects of material movement throughout the production facility including but not limited to any of the following: Receives, inspects, stores, and issues materials per established procedures Loads and unloads trucks safely and accurately Moves materials throughout the facility using manual handling and powered equipment (e.g., forklift, scissor lift) Tracks material movement within designated areas Compiles and maintains basic stock records Follows work instructions, drawings, and documentation to ensure proper handling Maintains a safe work environment including wearing of proper personal protective equipment as required

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 0–2 years of experience in warehouse, inventory, logistics, or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification (if not already certified)
  • Basic computer/data entry skills
  • Basic understanding of inventory processes
  • Familiarity with material handling equipment
  • Working knowledge of safety procedures
  • Basic ability to read and interpret drawings and product documentation
  • Demonstrates accuracy and attention to detail
  • Follows safety and security procedures consistently
  • Completes work in a timely manner
  • Responds to management direction and feedback
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • knowledge of Inventory software; Manufacturing software and Word Processing software

Responsibilities

  • Receives, inspects, stores, and issues materials per established procedures
  • Loads and unloads trucks safely and accurately
  • Moves materials throughout the facility using manual handling and powered equipment (e.g., forklift, scissor lift)

  • Pick and put away parts
  • Deliver parts to the appropriate areas in the facility
