The tasks and responsibilities required of the Warehouse Associate II are outlined below:

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience operating MHE and warehouse experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate all equipment associated with a warehousing environment (material handling equipment, RF scanner).
  • Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work at heights of up to 40 ft.
  • Ability to work in cold storage (40◦F)
  • Ability to frequently lift 35 to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must meet DOT sight and hearing requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to work daily and weekend overtime to meet business needs.
  • Ability to work independently while meeting safety, quality and productivity standards.
  • Demonstrates reliability and consistently maintains high-quality work standards
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong ability to identify and correct errors
  • Adheres to all procedures, safety guidelines, and compliance protocols

  • Previous experience operating MHE and warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to complete all Warehouse Associate Level I functions, including freight picking and transporting products.
  • Thoroughly inspects MHE for excessive wear or damage and completes preoperational checklists to ensure equipment is safe to operate prior to use.
  • Ensures any maintenance or repair issues for the building, vehicles and equipment are communicated to supervision.
  • Exhibits safe behaviors and practices in the workplace to include wearing required PPE and following safe material handling and lifting practices.
  • Responsible to follow good housekeeping and GMP to maintain a safe and clean working environment to include cleaning debris from locations, sweeping aisles, cleaning up spilled product and picking up trash.
  • In the performance of duties will be required to operate a variety of material handling equipment including VNA, deep reach, stand-up, sit down, EPJ forklifts, slip sheet machines, order pickers and rider-walkies.
  • Uses an RF scanner in a computerized inventory control system to manage product movements throughout the warehouse.
  • Replenishment – Using the WMS system, the Material Handler II obtains pallets from locations and moves them to designated locations.
  • Put-Away – Using the WMS system, the Material Handler II properly and correctly places product in the system generated put-away locations.
  • Bulk Pick – Using the WMS system, the Material Handler II completes the bulk pick function by following the system to the correct locations.
  • Inbound - Using the WMS system, the Material Handler II responsibilities include ensuring the proper unloading of trailers, transporting and put-away of product
  • CoPack- Performs all above functions and the following:
  • Receive raw materials and packing components from the warehouse using a stand-up forklift.
  • Transports raw materials and packaging components to specific lines and locations.
  • Transports finished materials to location in the warehouse using a stand-up forklift.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
