About The Position

The Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the warehouse. This position involves a variety of tasks assigned by the Warehouse/Operations Manager, including preparing and completing orders for delivery or pickup, pulling inventory for shipments, and ensuring correct materials are loaded onto trucks. Responsibilities also include recording merchandise, attaching accurate labels to all processed orders, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and optimizing space utilization. The associate will operate and maintain warehouse equipment, adhere to quality service standards, and comply with all procedures, rules, and safety regulations. The role also requires interacting professionally with customers and the public, performing counter sales to General Contractors, and utilizing technology to manage logistics processes.

Requirements

High School Diploma, or an equivalent combination of education/experience
Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test
Basic computer skills
Good communication skills
Ability to accurately do arithmetic, read orders, write instructions and complete forms
Ability to work closely and cordially with other staff associates

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of architectural door materials and hardware is a plus.
Experience driving trucks for delivery preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
Pull inventory for shipments
Help with ensuring correct material is pulled and loaded on our truck for delivery
Recording selected merchandise in accordance with standard operating procedures
Ensuring correct and complete labels are attached to all orders processed
Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
Operate and preventively maintain warehouse equipment
Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
Working in accordance with all warehouse safety regulations
Load finished product onto truck
Navigate equipment through a warehouse to collect customer orders
Follow all applicable safety regulations and processes as associated with driving, vehicle check, material handling and customer site specifics
Interact with customers and the public in a professional and positive manner
Counter sales to General Contractors
Use technology to help manage the logistics process.
Other relative duties as assigned.
