About The Position

The Warehouse Associate role receives, packages, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within the Company Warehouse by performing the duties outlined below. This is an on-site hourly position. Workdays and hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Overtime is required to meet the demands of the business.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/Equivalent or 6 months of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment in lieu of education
  • Available to work any shift and/or overtime as needed
  • Able to collaborate in a team setting
  • Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Basic math skills to function in the role
  • Willingness to comply and support safety standards

Responsibilities

  • Operate company provided machines including forklift, stock picker and tower lift truck, after completion of company training and certification.
  • Operate motorized pallet truck.
  • Assist shipping and receiving departments by: unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales order, and distributing to sales associates for processing.
  • Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
  • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area.
  • Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for employees, vendors, outside salespeople and customer traffic.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or relocating orders to a holding area or shipping department.
  • Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
  • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
  • Assist in counting of physical inventory.
  • Weigh and count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
  • Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.
  • Organizing warehouse and work area to maintain an orderly area.
  • Sweep, dust, and/or mop designated areas to maintain clean work area.
  • Wear the proper safety equipment.
