This role is responsible for specialized distribution center tasks including loading, unloading, order pulling, shipping, returns, forklift operation, fabrication, and counter work, or may involve a generalized role across all departments. White Cap and its affiliates serve as a one-stop shop, providing concrete accessories and chemicals, tools and equipment, building materials and fasteners, erosion and waterproofing products, and safety products to professional contractors in non-residential, infrastructure, and residential end markets.

Requirements

HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Nice To Haves

Forklift certification preferred

Responsibilities

Completes tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, fabrication, and transportation of goods.
Loads and unloads materials to and from designated storage areas, such as racks, shelves, or vehicles.
Stacks or piles materials, such as lumber, boards, or pallets.
Installs protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
Verifies computations against physical count of stock.
Maintains condition of work area (i.e., free of trash, product in correct location, etc.).
Follows company safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same.
Receives and fills orders for distribution.
May operate forklift or other machinery to complete tasks.
Conducts safety inspections, implements safety training, knows safety policies, maintains an organized work environment, monitors hazardous materials, and follows emergency evacuation plans to ensure a safe distribution center.
Other duties as assigned.
