The Warehouse Associate is responsible for moving materials within the warehouse and the loading / unloading of materials onto or from vehicles utilizing a forklift, reach truck, order picker or other heavy material handling equipment. The Warehouse Associate can be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, verification, shipping/manifesting, screening and other various duties as assigned to ensure the full and efficient operation of the warehouse. You will perform multiple warehouse activities to ensure the full and efficient operation of the distribution center such as receiving, sorting, picking, packing, and shipping orders. You will work Monday - Friday, 3:30 pm - 12:00 midnight and will be paid weekly at $19.25 per hour.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • At least 1 year of experience in a warehousing environment
  • Can walk or stand for extended periods of time while wearing steel toe or composite toe shoes in a non-climate-controlled environment
  • Basic math skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Verify and receive materials into inventory
  • Verify required inbound paperwork with drivers, ensuring that all products are properly counted
  • Ensure inbound and outbound deliveries are accurate and free of damage
  • Marks and inventories packages for storage or transit
  • Ensure inbound and outbound deliveries are accurate and free of damage

  • May also include palletizing and shrink-wrap
  • Duties may include receiving, checking and storing
  • May be required to stack pallets and repeatedly lift up to fifty (50) pounds
  • "Dangerous Goods": when receiving dangerous goods, the necessary procedures must be followed and these shipments must be stored in the designated section of the warehouse
  • Understand and adhere to local, State, and Federal regulations inclusive, but not limited, to OSHA, DOT, EPA and other government agencies. Certification is required to handle any hazardous material(s)
  • If/when applicable, 'bonded' cargo must be processed and handled accordingly, based on existing guidelines for this type of shipment
  • Use material handling (MH) equipment to unload incoming materials
  • Use MH Equipment to move and store materials within the warehouse
  • Use MH Equipment to pick, verify and pack orders according to standard practice
  • Use MH Equipment or other designated means to load goods into trailers or other designated transport vehicles for distribution
  • Deliver high level of service to customers
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Other duties as assigned
