What to Expect Insight is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our team. As a Shipping and Receiving Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring all incoming products are received, picked, packed, and quality checked with accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable of warehouse and safety procedures, possess some computer experience, and be able to work well in a team-oriented environment. As a Warehouse Associate you’ll get to: Verify contents of shipment compared to shipping documents while noting any discrepancies or damage. Operate computer terminal to enter receipts and printer to print labels. Pick outbound orders using RF scanners, verifying quantity and correct product. Select the right size of boxes and pack the product, send boxes onto the conveyor line to be quality checked in the upper mezzanine. Operate computer terminal to enter handling units and verify orders with the correct count and product, and print shipping labels.
Requirements
- High School Education or equivalent with at least 6 months of warehouse experience.
- Knowledge of shipping, warehouse, and safety procedures and some computer experience.
- Ability to multitask and strong organization and time management skills.
- Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints in a timely manner.
- Capability to use RF technology.
- Ability to communicate in and understand English to the extent necessary to fulfill/perform the essential job functions
Nice To Haves
- Possession of a valid forklift certification would be a plus.
