Warehouse Associate
About The Position
As the Warehouse Associate, you will play a key role in ensuring that our books and merchandise get to customers in a timely manner. You will carry out daily shipping duties, including stocking, packaging, and shipment and receipt of packages, while also assisting with facilities duties as needed. The Warehouse Associate will: Accurately package, label, and weigh items to be shipped, ensuring proper shipping method and charges Load and unload freight shipments Accurately triage incoming shipments, including shipments for the warehouse, purchasing admin, and individual staff Keep the supply room stocked, notify the manager if stock is running low, and maintain the orderliness of the warehouse and supply room Assist with basic facilities tasks, including moving furniture and mounting items to walls Comply with safety standards set by Management Coordinate with other administrative staff to confirm or investigate shipping inquiries Complete other tasks and responsibilities, as assigned
Requirements
- The ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
- Comfort with physical tasks, including standing, walking, climbing stairs, and sitting for extended periods
