About The Position

Stuart Hose & Pipe, a SunSource company, is the leading hose and pipe distributer in the Southwest with over 70,000 in-stock products. They service a vast range of markets including Oil & Gas, Petrochem, Industrial, Food & Beverage, Construction, Agriculture and many more. A Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing an array of functions that include picking and filling orders, measuring and cutting a variety of hoses, and managing/organizing stock in the warehouse.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Basic mathematical skills required.
• Good communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Ability to adapt to and work in a variety of situations to support the company’s goals
• Must be comfortable lifting heavy items and using warehouse machinery

Nice To Haves

• Hose and Fittings product knowledge is preferred, but not required
• Ability to read a tape measure preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate assembly equipment with proper training
• Prepare orders by processing pick tickets; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
• Maintains inventory by collecting stock location orders, recording amounts of materials picked and noting discrepancies.
• Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves and work stations neat; sweep and organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
• Operate materials handling equipment with proper training
• Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouse, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas
• Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damages to supervisors
• Provide assistance or direction to other warehouse employees
