Warehouse Associates contribute to the success of ABH by ensuring that our customers receive a complete and accurate order, on time, and in excellent condition. Warehouse Associates may be assigned a specific department and role by a supervisor and/or have a primary work location. It is to be expected that roles and department assignments will fluctuate as dictated by business needs, and no single location is permanent. All Warehouse Associates should expect cross-training in more than one department or one location. Essential Job Functions Responsible for performing all fulfillment functions. Perform activities for Value Added Services (VAS), Picking, Packing, Shipping, Returns and Receiving which include: Identification of items by barcode and item description Count products accurately Picks all items listed on a customer order from the pick list (boutique, international, EDI, internet, PR, employee orders, etc.) Scans each item picked – product, bin location, quantity & batch code. Verifies that item #/UPC scanned matches the order. Pays close attention to detail to ensure correct batch code is scanned. Notifies warehouse management immediately if any items on a customer order are out-of-stock or any scanner issues occur. Builds appropriate boxes for the packer to use on the order, as necessary (i.e. smaller accounts/orders.) Label each box by writing the Box # and Order ID information (PO#, Store Name, Account #, DC, State). Records the box dimensions (l, w, h), box weight and box #/qty for each box on a manual breakdown sheet. Arranges completed boxes on pallets for shipment (not higher than 7’ or individual product limit.) Wraps pallets and writes Order ID information on the sides of each pallet. Once all pallets are wrapped, notifies Lead that the order has been packed, and moves the pallets to the staging area. For smaller orders (less than one pallet), notifies Lead when all boxes for an order are ready, and moves boxes to shipping department Perform Value-Added Services (VAS) tasks such as kitting, labeling, repackaging, and light assembly according to work instructions. Maintain a clean, organized work area and report any issues, defects, or inventory discrepancies to leadership. Ensure accuracy and quality by following standard operating procedures, customer specifications, and compliance requirements Maintains clean workstation before and after shift. Works efficiently to meet deadlines set by management. May operate pallet jack and hand truck. Uses a utility knife. Inspect all equipment or devices for damage prior to use; report all findings to management. Adheres to warehouse procedures and safety standards. Other duties may be assigned at the Supervisors’ discretion. The first shift operates Monday–Friday from 4:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m . The second shift operates Sunday-Thursday from 1:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Final schedules will be determined by department assignment (Assembly, Picking, Packing, Shipping, Returns, or Receiving). Overtime should be expected during high-volume periods, and flexibility to work additional hours is required.
