About The Position

The Warehouse Associate at Southeast Toyota Distributors, LLC. performs a variety of warehouse functions at the Norcross Parts Distribution Center (PDC). These functions include picking parts from any warehouse zone, packing and securing parts for shipment to dealers, completing all appropriate paperwork, operating multiple types of powered industrial equipment, special projects as assigned, and Inventory Maintenance activities. This position is scheduled for 40 hours per week and associates will work one of three schedules: Sunday -Thursday 2:00 PM-10:30 PM, Monday-Friday 5:30 AM-2:00 PM, or Monday -Friday 2:00 PM-10:30 PM. Associates are responsible for the efficient completion of their assigned work and are also expected to interact professionally with others in a team-oriented environment. They must be able to read and retain numbers, complete forms/paperwork accurately and legibly, and meet safety, individual production, and quality performance objectives in a fast-paced environment while working with minimum supervision and following through on assignments.

Requirements

  • Attend and pass a Hazardous Materials Handling/Transportation class
  • Ability to pass testing and maintain certification for the operation of powered industrial equipment (including but not limited to forklifts, order pickers, tuggers, and stackers)
  • Ability to complete all physical requirements of the job and respond to visual and safety queues with or without a reasonable accommodation, including, but not limited to the ability to: Stand/walk the majority of the day and perform a significant amount of bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, twisting, climbing stairs, pushing, pulling, grasping and ability to lift 70 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Warehousing or manufacturing type experience
  • Previous automotive parts experience
  • Strong short-term memory skills, particularly in recalling numerical sequence
  • Prior experience with powered industrial equipment

Responsibilities

  • Use of PIVs (Powered Industrial Vehicles) such as tuggers, forklifts, pallet jacks or lift machines to perform assigned tasks
  • Use of safety equipment such as seat belt or fall protection body harness with lanyard is required
  • Responsible for the efficient completion of their assigned work
  • Interact professionally with others in a team-oriented environment
  • Read and retain numbers and complete forms/paperwork accurately and legibly
  • Meet safety, individual production, and quality performance objectives in a fast-paced environment
  • Work with minimum supervision and follow through on assignments
