About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, Cherry Pickers, and
especially stand-up trucks to efficiently load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, materials handling, and safety protocols to
ensure smooth and secure logistics processes. Prior experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, and shipping; receiving is highly valued. The Forklift Operator will play a crucial role in maintaining
efficient inventory management and supporting overall warehouse productivity.

Requirements

• Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or materials handling
• Previous certification. Proficiency in operating forklifts, Cherry Pickers, especially stand-up trucks, and pallet jacks
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards for industrial equipment operation
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for order picking and inventory control
• Strong understanding of warehouse processes, including load & unload procedures, order picking
• Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors
• Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours and carry loads up to 80 pounds
• Ability to work independently and safely

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, Cherry Pickers, and especially stand-up trucks, pallet jacks, and electric pallet jacks and other heavy equipment to load and unload goods
• Assist with order picking using RF scanners and warehouse management systems
• Load and unload materials from trucks safely and efficiently
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
• Maintain accurate inventory records during shipping and receiving processes
• Support warehouse management with materials handling tasks, including heavy lifting and stacking
• Follow OSHA safety standards and company policies to prevent accidents or injuries
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage solutions and workflow efficiency
• Assist in the training of new team members on equipment operation and safety procedures when required
