About The Position
The Warehouse Associate position serves as an entry point into our organization, providing essential training on how we efficiently and effectively manage the movement of materials to meet customer needs. This role is critical in ensuring that our warehouse operations run smoothly, contributing to a safe, accurate, and well-coordinated shipping, receiving, and customer service operation. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be involved in various tasks that are vital to the overall functionality of our distribution center. In this position, you will be responsible for receiving incoming materials, checking packing slips against the actual merchandise received, and inspecting materials for any obvious defects. You will also stock shelves, ensuring that materials are organized in their designated areas, and pull materials from warehouse shelves to fulfill current orders, back orders, inter-branch transfers, and will call orders. Utilizing RF guns for picking and packing will be a significant part of your daily tasks. Additionally, you will pack and ship materials according to customer orders and departmental procedures, assist with loading and unloading trucks, and manage wire reels by receiving and hanging them in designated areas. Cutting wire to customer specifications for various sales orders will also be part of your responsibilities. You will assist customers with pipe purchases and post purchase orders and related data into the computer system. Communication with the sales department regarding material availability is essential, as is collaboration with all internal departments to achieve our mission of delivering exceptional service to our customers while maintaining high standards of courtesy, knowledge, and ethics.
