Warehouse Teammates participate in the daily activities and operations of the Distribution House. This role performs an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials. Warehouse Teammates are responsible for manual tasks associated with the processing of orders. This position is a cross functional role. Warehouse Teammates will perform work in any department within the facility as directed to support operational requirements and business priorities. Assignment to specific functions may vary daily based on workload, staffing levels, and operational needs. This role is responsible for manual and computerized tasks associated with the processing of orders. We count on our Teammates to: Pick, pull, package, and ship orders Comfortable learning and using electronic devices to include RF scanners Maintain safe and organized working environment Work in any department within the Distribution House. Warehouse Teammates may rotate or be assigned or reassigned to different function areas outside their primary designated department to meet fluctuating labor needs, support peak volume, address staffing gaps or otherwise meet the needs of the business.
Requirements
- High School diploma (or GED), or equivalent years of experience.
- 6 months warehouse experience preferred
Nice To Haves
- Previous work experience (preferred, not required), particularly in a distribution center role
Responsibilities
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; sweep, dust and mop
- Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
- Retrieve and place merchandise in trailers, pallet locations, and pallet racks
- Assists with the development of efficient space planning for storage areas. Utilizes hand-held computers to receive daily tasks
- Picking, pulling, and packaging of orders
- Processing and shipping of orders
- Consistently at work and on time
- Other duties as assigned
