About The Position

The position is responsible for receiving, stocking, preparation, and shipping of merchandise to customers in local and outlying areas. The job is performed in a warehouse/operations environment, frequently exposed to fast-moving material handling equipment or other mechanical equipment. This is a full-time position with varying schedules that might include shift work (days or nights), weekdays or weekends, and some holidays. The position does not require travel.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a functional capacity test.
• 6 months of previous warehouse experience and/or training preferred.
• Material handling equipment experience preferred.
• Reach truck experience a plus.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous knowledge of SAP.
• One year warehouse experience.
• Previous forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Accurately select/pick merchandise from assigned slot and confirm the correct quantity and unit of measure.
• Load merchandise into appropriate truck.
• Drop merchandise for 'reserve' to 'pick' slots.
• Prepare VIA merchandise for shipment on freight lines.
• Repack loose merchandise for shipping/delivery.
• Verify quality of product, packaging and adherence to vendor compliance policy.
• Accurately adhere to Warehouse Labor Standard, 'Preferred Method Standard'.
• Identify and report slot and put-away problems.
• Shrink wrap merchandise/pallets after picking as needed.
• Perform housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Benefits

• $20.90 + shift differential + increase every 6 months, up to $26.62.
• Eligibility to participate in the Company's Incentive Plan.
