About The Position

The Warehouse Associate-Textiles position at Goodwill Industries of Tulsa, Inc. involves sorting and shipping donated textile goods. The role is essential for maintaining store quality and ensuring efficient processing of merchandise. Associates will work under the direction of the Textiles Supervisor and are responsible for various tasks that contribute to the overall mission of providing job opportunities and support services for individuals with disabilities or other employment barriers.

Requirements

• On-the-job training is provided over a period of up to three months.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as stooping, bending, crouching, reaching, handling, feeling, fingering, seeing, and depth perception.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 lbs.
• Ability to push/pull up to 100 lbs. maximum with frequent pushing/pulling of objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Visually examines, inspects, cleans, and manually sorts donated goods merchandise for store quality or salvage.
• Prepares merchandise for store shipment on hangers, racks, or shipping carts using the correct shipping material and container.
• Cleans items for store sales using cloth and cleaning solution.
• Keeps tally sheet recording the number of carts per category sorted on a daily basis or attaches proper store labeling for shipping.
• Places filled or empty containers/laundry carts in proper locations.
• Assists others when own store order is complete.
• Responsible for general housekeeping in the work area.
• Fills in as directed by supervisor as a Utility Processor-Shipping and Utility Processor-Wares to ensure production goals are met.
• Reviews and is familiar with company safety policies, programs, and procedures.
• Adheres to all safety rules, regulations, and safety codes, and attends safety training sessions and safety meetings.
