About The Position

The Warehouse Associate supports manufacturing operations by accurately receiving, storing, transacting, and shipping materials and finished goods. This position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, traceability, and material availability to support production flow and customer delivery schedules.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ year warehouse, manufacturing, or inventory control experience.
  • Experience using ERP/WMS systems for inventory transactions (receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments).
  • Understanding of inventory accuracy, location control, and material traceability.
  • Ability to perform cycle counts and basic discrepancy investigation.
  • Basic computer skills including data entry and barcode scanning devices, Microsoft Office products Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
  • Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming materials, verify quantities and part numbers against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Inspect shipments for damage and report discrepancies or shortages immediately.
  • Perform system transactions to accurately receive inventory into the ERP/WMS system.
  • Assign proper storage locations and ensure correct bin placement and labeling.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through real-time system transactions (moves, issues, returns, adjustments).
  • Perform routine cycle counts and investigate discrepancies to determine root cause.
  • Support physical inventory counts and reconciliation activities.
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify supervisors of low stock, overstock, or obsolete material.
  • Ensure FIFO/lot control/serial number tracking where applicable.
  • Maintain inventory location accuracy and correct mis-located materials.
  • Assist in identifying process improvements to improve inventory accuracy and material flow.
  • Accurately pick materials for production orders and customer shipments.
  • Verify part numbers, revisions, and quantities prior to staging or issuing to production.
  • Stage materials to production lines according to schedules and priorities.
  • Return unused material back to inventory using proper transactions.
  • Package, label, and prepare orders for shipment in accordance with company and carrier standards.
  • Verify shipment accuracy against order documentation before release.
  • Record shipments in ERP/WMS system and maintain traceability documentation.
  • Maintain organized storage areas and ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with production, purchasing, planning, and logistics teams regarding material availability.
