About The Position

The Warehouse Associate-Sanitation uses standard operating procedures (SOP) to perform the picking, loading, and unloading of delivery trucks and/or receives and stores materials/products. Assists with ICL, auditing or production functions as needed. Maintains safe work area through general housekeeping and performs sanitation functions as required. Wears proper PPE as required.

Requirements

  • One - two years previous experience in warehouse, or manufacturing environment
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with an RF Scanner and warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Basic computer skills for order processing and inventory control
  • Basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Use a forklift or walking pallet jack for transporting/lifting loads within the warehouse
  • Use 'First In, First Out' (FIFO) procedure to ensure proper rotation of existing stock
  • Must successfully pass a background checks every 3rd year on your anniversary date
  • Adherence to work schedule and attendance policy
  • Understand and utilize safe lifting practices

Responsibilities

  • Remove dough trays/carts and returns product from truck
  • Update inventory to reflect received product and sorts and stores usable product
  • Thoroughly cleans cargo area of trailer to ensure sanitary storage area for product during transport
  • Pre-cool cargo area of trailer to company specifications prior to loading product
  • Operate scanner so that the proper order is picked, and inventory is managed accurately
  • Ensure that orders are accurate, including quantity, size, and date
  • Stage items correctly for loaders and delivery
  • Efficiently loads product onto carts maximizing space
  • Operate handling equipment and ensures safety regulations are followed
  • Move product from staging area to trailer using equipment such as forklift, pallet jack or two-wheeled cart
  • Stage each order with the use of handheld scanner in preparation of loading onto trailers
  • Complete load verification with handheld scanner and verifies accuracy of assembled loads
  • Load trailers according to company specifications for maximum delivery accuracy
  • Secure load within cargo area of trailer using load bars, or straps
  • Load outbound trailers/routes according to load sheets
  • Inspect product for quality before loading onto trailers
  • Assist with pulling orders for walk up customers, as needed
  • Verify dough and product is accurate on assigned trailers
  • Work with leadership and loaders to correct variances that have been identified
