About The Position

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for accurate picking, packing, and shipping of material in the San Antonio, TX location. The role involves receiving incoming shipments, verifying their correctness, picking orders for Assembly and Thermoforming, and handling clerical demands of the position. The associate must keep accurate records, counts, and locations of parts, and tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments. Safety is paramount, and the associate must follow all safety, company, and 6S standards to ensure a clean and safe working environment. Operating warehouse equipment safely and efficiently is essential to minimize accidents. The associate will report any damage to company equipment and infrastructure to ensure repairs occur, contributing to a safe work environment. The role also includes performing assigned warehouse tasks utilizing standard work and policies to ensure the highest levels of safety and quality, moving products to storage areas, and following visual aids to maximize safety, quality, and productivity. Continuous improvement is encouraged, and associates are expected to contribute process suggestions and participate in improvement events.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform work for a minimum of eight hours
  • Some computer skills desired (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook); SAP experience is a plus
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist and waist to floor
  • Willingness to embrace the Hubbell Values and Behaviors
  • Good math skills necessary
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret a variety of drawings written in English
  • Familiarity with measuring instruments and/or equipment such as scales and pallet jacks
  • Knowledge of appropriate handling, safety, and warehouse standards
  • Ability to pick up and move trash, recycling, and corrugated materials
  • Ability to have jobs pulled in advance and ready for assembly
