Position Summary The Warehouse Worker (Runner) is responsible for assisting in venue distribution/warehouse operations including inventory, receiving, purchase order tracking, clean-up, transfers and equipment maintenance. This is a key position for the effective and profitable operation of the business. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work a variable event-driven schedule which includes evenings and weekends. Open availability, professional presentation, outstanding interpersonal skills, self-direction and independent decision-making skills are required. Must be able to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment. Warehouse Associates report to Warehouse Supervisors and Warehouse/Purchasing Manager. This role pays an hourly rate of $17.00 to $19.00 Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching This position will remain open until April 24, 2026. About the Venue Polar Park is a baseball park in Worcester, Massachusetts, serving as the home of the Worcester Red Sox, a Minor League Baseball team competing at the Triple-A level and an affiliate of the Boston Red Sox.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, professional and courteous manner which fosters a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Possess a thorough working knowledge of all existing concessions locations: geographical location, equipment, evacuation procedures, adjacent employee and guest areas, and facility access.
  • Possess thorough working knowledge of all applicable sanitation requirements, food preparation guidelines, alcohol service policies, safety standards, etc. pertaining to venue concession operations.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year foodservice, hospitality or warehousing experience.
  • Physical ability to execute warehouse duties.

  • Similar venue experience is a plus
  • Food Service Certification (ServSafe)

Responsibilities

  • Receives deliveries, checking for accuracy and quality before rotating with on-hand stock in our warehouse/store rooms
  • Fulfills requisition sheets to accurately restock bars, concession stands, or kitchens for upcoming events
  • Stages product for upcoming events
  • Receiving product deliveries
  • Proper food rotation
  • Processing spoilage
  • Distribution of product
  • Equipment maintenance
  • Overseeing proper product transfers
  • Product fulfillment during events
  • Services draft beer lines to exchange kegs or CO2 tanks when necessary
  • Restocking Grab & Go locations at End of Day
  • Post-Event Breakdown
  • Must be able to move a keg of beer using hand truck!
  • Running product throuhgout an event
  • Warehouse closing duties (sweep, mop, trash & recycling processed)
