About The Position
WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a Warehouse Associate to join our team in Romeoville, IL. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by receiving, storing, picking, packing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products. The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for maintaining the organization of the warehouse and ensuring that all items are accurately accounted for and readily available for distribution. This position requires a proactive approach to handling inventory and a commitment to safety and efficiency in all tasks performed. The Warehouse Associate will convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas. Sorting and placing items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, color, or product code is a critical part of the role. Additionally, the associate will fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items, ensuring that customer orders are assembled accurately and efficiently. The role also involves marking materials with identifying information, opening bales, crates, and other containers, and recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed. Operating a forklift to transport stored items from shelves to the package area for shipment is a key responsibility, and the associate must frequently lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and push up to 25 lbs. Other duties and tasks may be assigned as needed, requiring flexibility and a willingness to adapt to the needs of the warehouse operations.
