Requirements

• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels and types of internal and external individuals.
• Good organization and planning skills as well as problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and shipping documents.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and commit to team goals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of ERP system software, preferably SAP.
• Forklift experience is required.
• Pre-employment drug screening and background check are required.

Responsibilities

• Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Prepare items for shipment, including assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise.
• Receive, unpack, verify, and record incoming merchandise or material.
• Arrange for the transportation of products.
• Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems such as damages or shortages.
• Prepare documents such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders to route materials.
• Record shipment data for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
• Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory.
