About The Position

The Warehouse Receiver understands and executes receiving tasks with an elevated sense of urgency, is a strong communicator in both verbal and written formats and is technologically savvy. This associate has an in-depth knowledge of our product offerings and a keen eye for detail. The Warehouse Receiver committed to delivering the California Closets Brand Experience through supporting and participating in a healthy, cohesive, and productive environment. Ensures safe and quality work practices and adherence to site policies/procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and/or GED
  • 2-4 years of experience in a distribution or warehouse role in construction and/or in the home renovations/improvement industry, preferably within a luxury brand environment
  • Experience in supporting supply chain demands
  • Ability to calculate invoice and shipping totals as requested
  • Ability to accurately count inventory

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree related to from an accredited college or university preferred

Responsibilities

  • Receives and processes all incoming products into the warehouse and processes using PC based software process.
  • Compares identifying information, quality checks and measures items of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, picking tickets, invoices, orders, or other records
  • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with supervisor to rectify damages or discrepancies.
  • Routes items to proper departments.
  • Reorders damaged or mis shipped vendor materials after quality check
  • Subject Matter Expert for inventory reconciliation.
  • Coordinates with Warehouse Manager and participates in Daily Cycle Counting process and quarterly full physical inventories.
  • Ensures all inventory adjustments are reconciled daily before end of workday.
  • Moves overstock to primary location and breaks down boxes for recycling daily or as needed.
  • Partners with Epicor Specialists to resolve PO issues, reorders, negative on hands and/or any other inventory discrepancies that arise
  • Informs Warehouse or Operations Manager of any receiving discrepancies.
  • Knows and communicates with partners across the organization including but not limited to Accounts Payable, Epicor Specialists, Operations, Purchasing, Plan Review
