About The Position

The Warehouse Associate will receive incoming donations, and sort and process merchandise according to proper procedure. Duties include maintaining cleanliness of warehouse(s) and surrounding areas, including but not limited to, restrooms, donation sorting areas, storage areas and grounds. Responsibilities in the Donation Drop Off area include receive incoming merchandise and food donations, accordingly, sorting and processing them for the appropriate places, foster long-lasting relationship and educate donors regarding our programs and services. Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No experience necessary, will train.
• Flexibility in work hours; this position requires some overtime and ability to work on some holidays.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Normal mental and visual capabilities required for the flow of work.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend and stoop for long periods.
• Must frequently lift and/or move items up to 75 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming merchandise and food donations.
• Sort and process donations for appropriate places.
• Maintain cleanliness of warehouse(s), sorting area(s), storage container(s), restroom(s) and other surrounding areas.
• Perform light grounds keeping as required.
• Maintain cleanliness of the commercial waste receptacle area.
• Move processed and unprocessed donations and other items between warehouses and storage areas.
• Operate heavy equipment; will be trained and certified as needed.
• Assist warehouse staff with loading and unloading donated items.
• Work closely with the Warehouse Assistant Manager and assist with daily duties.
