About The Position

The position is responsible for receiving, stocking, preparation, and shipping of merchandise to customers in local and outlying areas. The job requires accurately selecting and picking merchandise from assigned slots, loading merchandise into appropriate trucks, preparing merchandise for shipment, and verifying the quality of products. The role also involves adhering to warehouse labor standards and performing housekeeping duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a functional capacity test.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of SAP.
• 1+ year warehouse experience.
• Previous forklift certification.
• Material handling equipment experience.
• Reach truck experience.

Responsibilities

• Accurately select/pick merchandise from assigned slot and confirm the correct quantity and unit of measure.
• Load merchandise into appropriate truck.
• Drop merchandise for 'reserve' to 'pick' slots.
• Prepare VIA merchandise for shipment on freight lines.
• Repack loose merchandise for shipping/delivery.
• Verify quality of product, packaging and adherence to vendor compliance policy.
• Accurately adhere to Warehouse Labor Standard, 'Preferred Method Standard'.
• Identify and report slot and put-away problems.
• Shrink wrap merchandise/pallets after picking as needed.
• Perform housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
