About The Position

This position is responsible for managing the logistics of receiving, shipping, and storing inventory according to schedules, purchase orders, and company policies. Responsibilities include ensuring food and human safety, maintaining sanitation standards, accurate inventory reporting, and adhering to all company procedures. The MEO is also tasked with loading and unloading materials, maintaining accurate records, and meeting customer and operational requirements.

Requirements

  • Forklift experience and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong commitment to safety, food quality, and sanitation.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe working conditions are maintained and participate actively in the behavior-based safety process.
  • Complete monthly behavior-based safety audits and address unsafe conditions promptly.
  • Participate in safe observations programs, maintain certifications, and adhere to excellent attendance standards.
  • Safely drive and operate equipment, including forklifts and yard trucks, with no accidents or write-ups.
  • Inspect and maintain forklift batteries/propane tanks following PPE and safety guidelines.
  • Properly load trailers for customer and interplant shipments while ensuring trailer locking mechanisms are secured and inspected.
  • Ensure trailers are clean, free of contamination, and meet SQF standards.
  • Accurately complete trailer inspection forms and communicate with yard drivers clearly via radio for trailer movements and sealing.
  • Adhere to shipping and receiving schedules to meet customer and operational requirements.
  • Perform activities associated with customer order fulfillment, ensuring GMP compliance and high customer service standards.
  • Utilize the Supply Chain and Warehouse Management systems (IFS) to create and manage distribution orders and shipments.
  • Print and follow pick lists to fill orders and complete COA/COC forms and BOLs accurately.
  • Perform daily inventory cycle counts and verify kitting/line schedules, staging materials accordingly.
  • Maintain FIFO inventory rules and commit to daily improvements in processes.
  • Stage products for packaging lines into designated kitting/staging areas following strict FIFO rules.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency and resolve issues.
  • Immediately report any food safety, quality, or plant security issues to supervisors for appropriate action.
  • Uphold the highest standards of ethics and integrity, work independently, and contribute positively to team goals.
  • Safely move, back up, and pull trailers to support production activities using a yard truck.
  • Maintain forklift certification and a valid driver's license to operate equipment safely.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs.
