About The Position

Warehouse Operations at Cardinal Health is responsible for materials handling and product distribution within a distribution or manufacturing environment. This encompasses warehousing, fulfillment, transportation, inventory management, and planning for demand, supply, and manufacturing. The role involves performing a combination of manual or automated tasks for product receipt, storage, and shipment, including functions like receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, and delivery. The goal is to ensure the efficient flow of products from vendors to various internal and external customers. The Warehouse Associate specifically assists with Inbound or Outbound activities as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, productivity, and operational standards. For Inbound, the associate receives products, and for Outbound, they ship products. This position is located at the Consumer Health Logistics Center (CHLC) in Groveport, Ohio, which is Cardinal Health’s newest Pharmaceutical Supply Chain operation. This approximately 350,000 square foot facility utilizes advanced automation technology for picking, packing, and shipping consumer health products.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Comfort working with heights 20-30 ft regularly
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift
  • Ability to follow direction and change priorities
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • Basic proficiency in English, including being able to read and write in English in order to process documents

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with technologies, like computers or point of sale systems, a plus

Responsibilities

  • Follow established process to fulfill orders. This includes accurately picking products, performing quality control checks, packing products, and preparing orders for shipment.
  • Cross-training in multiple areas of the warehouse and participating in projects as needed.
  • Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Willingness to train and be certified to drive material handling equipment as required by job duty. Example equipment in the facility includes order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider.
