About The Position

The Shipping Receiving Technician II plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of incoming and outgoing shipments within a non-durable goods manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for verifying shipment contents, inspecting goods for quality and damage, and maintaining accurate records to support inventory management and production schedules. The technician collaborates closely with warehouse, production, and logistics teams to facilitate smooth material flow and timely delivery. Attention to detail and adherence to safety and compliance standards are essential to prevent errors and maintain operational integrity. Ultimately, this role supports the overall supply chain by ensuring that materials and finished products are properly received, stored, and dispatched.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.
• Ability to operate forklifts or pallet jacks safely (certification preferred or willingness to obtain).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds regularly.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, preferably with non-durable goods.
• Familiarity with inventory management software or warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Forklift certification or other material handling equipment training.
• Basic computer skills including data entry and use of spreadsheets.
• Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and damage according to company standards.
• Verify shipment documentation and update inventory records to reflect received goods.
• Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring correct labeling and documentation.
• Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to manage storage and movement of materials.
• Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently to load and unload shipments.
• Report discrepancies, damages, or delays to supervisors and assist in resolving issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area in compliance with safety regulations.
• Assist in cycle counts and inventory audits as needed to support inventory accuracy.
