About The Position

This position is a progression in the Warehouse Associate career path. The individual must have master all the duties and responsibilities of the Warehouse Associate I position. The Warehouse Associate II has additional responsibilities: Inspecting, unloading, sorting, receiving and staging deliveries. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performs all responsibilities of the Warehouse Associate I position Follows all standard operating procedures while performing the picking and packing functions for all customer orders. Utilizes radio frequency (RF) device/computer properly to receive/process order picking and packing instructions. Converts packaging information into appropriate unit of measure. Verifies item number, quantity and accurate unit of measure for items picked/packed for customer orders. Picks, assembles and ships branch inventory transfers. Notes and processes special handling instructions from pick list and/or RF display. Monitors warehouse to keep aisles and shelves clean and free of debris. Ensures product is stocked properly on shelves without obstructions. Follows all company safety guidelines and completes all monthly safety training. Upholds sustainability process by putting recyclables in proper receptacles and all other waste in the trash bins. Additional duties and responsibilities for Level II Adheres to all standard operating procedures (SOPs) associated with properly inspecting, unloading, sorting, receiving and staging inventory. Verifies item number, quantity, and unit of measure (UOM) information for items unloaded and received into the warehouse. Administers all receiving documentation and reporting concerning receiving discrepancies. Palletizes product using stacking patterns determined by branch facility to ensure the proper fit in the branch specific locations. Notes and processes special handling instructions from packing list and/or RF display. Stages/consolidates inventory receipts into designated lanes for put away. Monitors warehouse to keep work areas, aisles and shelves clean, organized and free of debris. Upholds sustainability process by putting recyclables in proper receptacles and other waster into proper trash bins. Follows all company safety guidelines and completes all monthly safety training.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Three months to six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must show proficiency in Warehouse Associate I role for at least three months.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English; comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos, write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's and to perform these operations units of measure and weight measurement, volume and distance.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions and to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situation.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks successfully.
  • Meet defined targets with accuracy.
  • Ensure documentation is maintained, accurate and current.
