About The Position

This is a highly functional position and is primarily responsible for fulfilling customer orders by picking, packing, and shipping products using the warehouse management system. This position is also responsible for reporting any errors or discrepancies to their supervisor to be resolved

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Able to work in all areas of the warehouse operation based on the needs of the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of LISA WMS, Microsoft Office, and Motorola handheld scanners a plus
  • Working knowledge of pallet jack and/or forklift certified a plus

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for expedited processing requests; selecting, pulling, packing, labeling and shipping orders
  • Correctly read orders to ascertain description, sizes, colors, and quantities of merchandise
  • Identify product discrepancies and proactively resolve issues regarding them and other team members
  • Builds and breaks down cargo containers and pallets using necessary equipment
  • Sorts, works with dimensions, and labels freight using necessary equipment
  • Report to work and from all breaks on time
  • Ensure that scanners are placed on the charger and not left unattended on the warehouse floor during breaks, lunch periods, or at the close of business
  • Perform tasks related to shipping and transportation of orders above standard rates; perform all functions of cargo handling including, but not limited to processing, loading, and off-loading freight
  • Possible use of other company equipment safely (forklift, scissor lift, etc.)
  • Required to stay current and lead the department on all shipping regulations and procedures and ensure that employees are adhering to these changes. Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements.
  • Provides superior performance, guidance and hands-on training for all new Full Time and Temporary Associates regarding picking/packing protocols and all aspects of their roles
  • Understands, follows, and enforces the department and Supply Chain Philosophy. Has a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to the success of the company
  • Works with a positive can-do attitude and proactively performs other duties, and new duties as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned
