About The Position

Shipping & Receiving Personnel II is responsible for the effective control of all incoming/outgoing goods and inventory in the warehouse and maintaining the warehouse in accordance with good manufacturing practices.

Requirements

  • High school Diploma or GED required
  • 5+ years' shipping/receiving experience in a manufacturing environment or medical device experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn IFS Manufacturing.
  • High level of passion and enthusiasm
  • Strong written and verbal two-way communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem recognition
  • Ability to read, write and speak English in order to comprehend and execute shipping functions and communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills. Interact professionally with logistics coordinators and co-workers to enhance teamwork and to foster positive working relationships
  • Demonstrates professionalism, builds trust, and ensures Nordson meets its commitments
  • Approachable and relationship oriented
  • Regularly required to stand, bend, reach and move about the facility.
  • Ability to lift materials and product up to 75 pounds.
  • Hand strength to package products.
  • Work performed in a warehouse/finished goods environment.
  • Ability to operate material lift and select materials
  • Able to climb ladders

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all raw material finished goods and in-process material.
  • Receipt of incoming raw materials.
  • Ensure proper quarantine of incoming materials.
  • Data entry for all inventory transactions.
  • Maintain Visual for purchased materials.
  • Organize the shipment of finished product, samples, and equipment through packing for safe transportation.
  • Prepare and issue all relevant documentation, as stated in the Nordson Medical quality system.
  • Preparation of customs documentation where required and ensuring shipments (incoming or outgoing) are on-time and complete
  • Maintain cleanliness of warehouse.
  • Follow and adhere to all applicable procedures / policies.
  • Able to use material handling equipment as necessary.
  • Work safely with various cutting tools.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Maintain Off-site building inventory
  • Knowledge of the purchasing function
  • Ability to initiate cycle count
  • Create building/woodworking
