About The Position

Warehouse Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning. Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers. Job Summary The Warehouse Associate II, Pharmacy supports pharmacy warehouse operations with a primary focus on packaging, shipping, receiving, and inventory handling. This role works closely with pharmacy technicians and pharmacists to ensure verified prescriptions are properly boxed, sealed, scanned, palletized, and shipped in a safe, accurate, and timely manner. The position also supports inbound receiving activities, inventory rotation, workspace organization, and general warehouse upkeep while meeting quality, safety, and productivity standards.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of warehouse, shipping, receiving, or distribution experience, preferred.
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
  • Basic computer skills required, including ability to learn new systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow regulated processes.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a pharmacy-supported environment.
  • Ability to stand for the duration of an 8-hour shift.
  • Frequent bending, lifting, and reaching.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse and pharmacy environment.
  • Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks
  • Readily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned area
  • Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications
  • Works on routine assignments that require some problem resolution
  • Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods
  • Adheres to all quality guidelines
  • Works under moderate degree of supervision
  • Work typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor
  • Refers complex unusual problems to supervisor

  • Experience with shipping, inventory, or warehouse systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Package pharmacist-verified prescriptions by placing completed orders into boxes.
  • Assemble boxes using an automated box machine and manual folding as needed.
  • Add protective packaging materials (such as kraft paper) and securely seal boxes.
  • Scan, label, and track packaged orders using shipping software.
  • Palletize completed orders and prepare shipments for outbound transport.
  • Support shipping operations, including organizing completed orders in designated shipping areas.
  • Print orders or shipping documents as required.
  • Receive incoming product shipments using packing lists.
  • Tear down pallets and separate products by item type.
  • Rotate inventory by expiration date and place products in appropriate storage areas.
  • Assist with product check-in after pharmacist verification.
  • Support system receiving processes using NetSuite.
  • Restock packaging supplies and pharmacy materials as needed.
  • Use computer systems to: Track packages and shipment status Research order or inventory information Print prescriptions and shipping documents Scan items into inventory or shipping workflows Utilize shipping software.
  • Maintain organized work areas across pharmacy, shipping, and receiving zones.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping and disposal of trash and cardboard.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety policies, and quality guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with pharmacy staff, warehouse leadership, and receiving teams.
  • Perform other related duties in support of pharmacy, shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations as assigned.
