The role of the Warehouse Associate II-BOL is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments by creating BOL (Bill of Laden), securing load and loading outbound trailers. Their duties include organizing inventory for easy retrieval as new orders are being finished, completing loader checklists to ensure trucks are safe for loading, and communicating with the shipping office to prioritize outbound shipments. This role also requires associates to operate equipment (Pallet Jacks, Forklifts, etc.) while also systematically developing shipping documents for customer orders. A Day In The LifeFollow all safety, company, and 6S standards in the distribution center to ensure a clean and safe working environment to ensure the safety and security of all employees. Operate warehouse equipment and dock safety equipment safely and efficiently to ensure little to no accidents. Perform New Trailer Checklist for each new trailer and report any damage to ensure repairs and/or replacement occurs to minimize safety risk. Determine appropriate routing for all domestic shipments leaving the building by utilizing manual routing guide and system notes. Ensure BOLs are completed accurately, signed by freight handling company drivers, and turned into office for processing. Provide Dimensions, weight, and class for handling units to office for shipping internationally and direct truckloads Load all outbound trucks up to and including full truck loads, LTL (Less Than Truck Load), and Non-Preferred Parcel Carriers without incurring damage. Responsible for staging large shipments until the collect carrier is available to pick up load. Inspecting shipment and confirming quality prior to loading Perform miscellaneous activities as directed by your manager to efficiently support the warehouse operation.
