About The Position

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Embraces training opportunities on forklift and all PIT equipment, including floor scrubber.
  • Performs physical tasks such as bending, reaching, stooping, lifting, and standing throughout the shift.
  • Operates comfortably at elevated heights ranging from 20 to 30 feet on a regular basis.
  • Applies basic skills and techniques to complete routine tasks within assigned area
  • Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications
  • Works on basic and routine assignments
  • Works within clearly defined Standard Operating Procedures and/or scientific methods
  • Adheres to all quality guidelines
  • Works under close supervision
  • All work is reviewed for accuracy
  • Any deviations from the norm are approved by the supervisor before proceeding

Nice To Haves

  • Utilizes Microsoft Office tools with proficiency, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
  • Sweep floors and remove plastic and cardboard from pallets.
  • Clean and service compactors and safety guards.
  • Collect and dispose of trash and debris.
  • Ensure the facility remains tidy, safe, and compliant with housekeeping standards
