SUMMARY: The Warehouse Associate is responsible for cutting plastic sheet material to specified dimensions using a shear, accurately tracking material usage, and ensuring production lines are consistently supplied with the correct materials. This position also includes operating a forklift and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous warehouse or production experience preferred.
  • Experience operating a shear or similar cutting equipment is a plus (training may be provided).
  • Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
  • Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, and cut sheets.
  • Basic computer or scanner skills for inventory tracking.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Dependability and strong work ethic.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a shear to cut plastic sheet material according to production specifications.
  • Measure, mark, and verify dimensions to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Supply production lines with sheet material and other required items in a timely manner.
  • Track inventory usage through logs or production systems to ensure accurate material counts.
  • Operate a forklift safely to move pallets, load/unload materials, and transport sheet stock.
  • Monitor material levels and communicate shortages or replenishment needs to supervisors.
  • Inspect materials for quality issues before and after cutting.
  • Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring proper function and reporting any maintenance needs.
  • Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a clean, organized warehouse environment.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties, including receiving, stocking, and staging materials as needed.
  • Create a safe work environment
  • All other duties as assigned.
