Under the supervision of the Manager, the Warehouse Person is responsible for receiving, picking, packaging and shipping customer orders between the Assembly Department and the Warehouse as assigned in a manner that meets AHEAD standards for safety, security, quality, and productivity.

Requirements

  • Minimum Required – education generally equivalent to a high school diploma
  • One to two years of related experience
  • Ability to read comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and emails in English, follow verbal instructions and effectively present information verbally and in writing in one-on-one situations and to other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in writing, oral or diagram form.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with a willingness to learn
  • Reliable
  • A degree of creativity and latitude is required
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.

Responsibilities

  • Verify materials received against purchase requisition
  • Responsible for accurately picking, breaking down and QCing orders to give to production in a timely fashion and picking orders that ship out directly to the customer.
  • Operate a Stand-Up Reach Truck and/or any of the 5 class forklifts following OSHA requirements.
  • Prepare skids for freight shipments, including wrapping and strapping
  • Stock bins and/or shelves with parts from receiving carts, receiving area, and return to stock shelf.
  • Package and Quality Control systems and parts shipping out.
  • Check-in RMA’s and RTV’s.
  • Report damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record-keeping purposes.
  • Ensure products are received from our vendors in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Prepare skids for freight shipment, including wrapping and strapping
  • Contribute to monthly meetings with ideas and participation.
  • Complete semi-annual inventories and weekly cycle counts.
  • Other job duties as assigned
