About The Position

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for unloading merchandise in accordance with established safety, procedural and accuracy standards to meet the warehouse operation goals.

Requirements

Must be able to identify products by size, type, color or product code.
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language.
Basic math skills
Reasoning skills with the ability to understand and execute instructions.
Must have the ability to work safely in a warehouse environment
Must have the ability to work in a team environment
Must maintain certification, if using powered industrial equipment
Good organizational and time management skills in order to meet goals
Proficiency in inventory software, databases and systems or the ability to learn
High school diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience, REQUIRED
Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods or the ability to learn processes and procedures
Must be physically capable of constantly lifting and/or moving objects up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 80 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Select products accurately and properly verify
Perform required equipment inspection and report any deficiencies to supervisor
Must follow proper safety procedures
Receive load assignment from dock supervisor
Must follow all work instructions and procedures
Remove product from trailer and break down loads to customer specifications per purchase order
Must break down loads efficiently, accurately, in a timely manner, with little to no error on loads: loads must be wrapped and lined up by P.O. line number when required
Responsible for recording loss, damages, shortages and overages
Responsible for turning in all packaging slip, recording your name and number of shortages or overages, if any.
Reports any equipment damages and/or integrity of pallets
Will train new team members on unloading process
Must maintain a clean working area
Make recommendations for more effective operations.
