Warehouse Associate Location: Hampshire, IL Position Summary The Warehouse Associate I is responsible for assisting with all shipping and receiving functions in the warehouse. The Warehouse Associate I activities help to ensure that customers receive the best quality products by keeping a clean, orderly warehouse, with accurate inventory levels. Perform assigned work as delegated by the Warehouse Team Lead and Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Education: High School or Equivalent
  • Experience: Previous shipping or warehouse experience, but not necessary
  • Specialized knowledge or training: Forklift driving and material handling equipment
  • Maintain a positive employee environment and ensure all warehouse employees adhere to our safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare shipments by pulling orders accurately and promptly utilizing a scan gun. Ensure that all goods are properly palletized for safe transportation
  • Put away and move materials, ensuring accurate item transfers by verifying counts, lot numbers, and locations
  • Shrink wrap and stage orders for shipment, affix the proper labels and tags in accordance with the customer’s requirements. Take and upload pictures of outbound shipments in D365 using scan gun
  • Process small package shipments using FedEx and UPS software
  • Support the preparation of documentation for outbound shipments. Verify that the Bill of Lading and Packing Slips match the shipment
  • Load and off-load trucks and containers
  • Assist receiving team with inbound inspections
  • Responsible for cycle counts and other inventory duties as assigned
  • Help maintain an orderly and clean environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • All other duties as may be assigned
