Summary The Warehouse Associate is responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions including receiving, storing, handling, shipping, and preparing of product for customer delivery.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
  • Versatility, accuracy, and excellent attention to details.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Basic computer literacy and the ability to accurately perform data entry and send emails.
  • Skill in reading English words, simple sentences and numbers on documents so orders can be fulfilled.
  • Ability to clearly and legibly write English words, simple sentences and numbers on documents so orders can be fulfilled.
  • Basic mathematic skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating objects and materials.
  • Ability to talk and hear
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time
  • The ability to lift, move, and handle products and packages weighing up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and approximately 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • The ability to climb stairs and ladders frequently throughout the day
  • The Warehouse Associate is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • The ability to work extended periods of time in a refrigerated environment

Responsibilities

  • Fill Customer Orders: Pick product for orders following standard procedures.
  • Prepare product for shipping. This includes packaging, skidding, and/or wrapping containers for shipment.
  • Process shipment with carriers, including UPS, Fed-X, trucking companies and others.
  • Update computer system with shipment details.
  • Inventory Management: Receive and verify incoming products.
  • Stock inventory items.
  • Inspect, rotate, and verify inventory levels.
  • Conduct weekly cycle counts.
  • Conduct annual physical inventory count.
  • Complete receiving paperwork.
  • Packaging and Labeling Products: Label and box products according to standard procedure.
  • Note that attention to detail is critical.
  • General Warehouse Duties: Maintain daily housekeeping and organization of the warehouse space.
  • Run weekly cycle counting reports on MAS500 Backup other areas, as needed.
  • Other duties, as assigned
