About The Position

The position involves overseeing the shipment and receipt of products, materials, and supplies, including preparation of outgoing shipments and receipt of incoming ones. The role requires maintaining precise inventory records, ensuring accurate documentation of all shipments, and verifying contents against records. Collaboration with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, and vendors is essential to coordinate shipping and receiving processes while delivering exceptional customer service. The job also includes loading and unloading packages, ensuring secure packing and accurate labeling, which may require operating machinery like forklifts. Daily logs of inventory movements must be kept, and any damages or discrepancies should be documented and reported promptly. Adherence to health and safety protocols is crucial, and maintaining equipment and a clean workstation is expected. The role may also involve assisting with cycle counts to support inventory accuracy and working collaboratively with team members to enhance overall operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Previous experience in shipping and receiving is advantageous but not required.
• Proficient in operating a forklift and combi lift.
• Able to perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Capable of lifting weights up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to stand for long periods.
