Requirements

  • Proven work experience in a warehouse environment is a plus, but not required
  • Ability to operate a forklift is a plus, but on-the-job training and forklift certification can be provided
  • Ability to work in both an indoor and outdoor environment with exposure to noise, dust, fumes, noxious odors, gases, mechanical and electrical hazards, moving objects, sharp edges, and all types of weather and temperature conditions
  • Ability to frequently and repeatedly lift from ground to various heights up to 50 pounds individually, and team lifting heavier items
  • Ability to frequently and repeatedly exert force of up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to frequently walk on uneven and/or unpaved terrain
  • Ability to frequently climb steps, ladders and in/out/onto vehicles
  • Ability to frequently and repeatedly bend, stoop, crawl, kneel, reach and crouch
  • Visual acuity to drive motor vehicles and mobile equipment and to read printed and electronic documents
  • Hearing capacity to receive, perceive and react to common driving and construction environment noises
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in high pressure situations, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Self-starter with independent work ethics
  • Adhere to strict safety standards and procedures
  • Valid Texas Driver's License.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with field labor readiness
  • Receiving, handling, stocking, and organizing materials
  • Equipment and warehouse upkeep, maintenance and repairs
  • Ensure cleanliness, organization and safety of work environment
  • Loading and unloading deliveries
  • Accepting delivery of inventory
  • Local delivery and pickup of material as needed for projects
  • Counting, confirming, and documenting inventory
  • Inspecting inventory for damage
  • Communicating errors to relevant parties
  • Marking and labeling stock
  • Storing inventory in accessible manner
  • Completes all necessary paperwork
  • Miscellaneous tasks assigned by Construction Manager
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed, may be required to help in the field as needed.
