About The Position

The Warehouse Associate position at Rexel USA involves efficiently and accurately filling customer orders, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping materials while adhering to safety and productivity standards. This role is essential for maintaining the warehouse environment and ensuring all transactions are handled correctly. The position offers a Monday to Friday schedule with paid holidays and time off, promoting a work-life balance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment preferred.
  • Valid driver's license if required to make deliveries, with a minimum age of 21.
  • Pass a pre-employment and annual review of Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Obtain verification of non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire.
  • No suspended driver's license for traffic accidents/violations within the past 3 years.
  • No at-fault accidents in the past 3 years.
  • General knowledge of electrical products is a plus.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and customers.
  • Ability to handle basic issues and problems.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work overtime as needed.
  • Basic computer knowledge.

  • Knowledge of electrical products.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a culture focused on employee safety and a safe work environment.
  • Follow established Standard Operating Procedures and Environmental Health and Safety Rules.
  • Receive materials from vendors, customers, or other warehouses and verify their quantity and description.
  • Keep incoming orders stocked on shelves in an orderly manner and report freight damage claims.
  • Prepare branch orders for shipping, ensuring accuracy in the number and type of products.
  • Process shipment paperwork, including verifying merchandise, applying postage, and following shipping instructions.
  • Operate machinery such as forklifts and reach trucks when required.
  • Load common carrier and company vehicles for delivery.
  • Inspect and perform minor maintenance on warehouse equipment.
  • Conduct inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Make deliveries to branches or customers as needed.
  • Assist with other warehouse or branch duties as assigned.
