About The Position

The Warehouse Associate/Backup Route Driver at Ridwell is a temporary full-time position focused on supporting the company's mission to reduce waste through effective recycling and reuse practices. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment, performing warehouse duties, and occasionally driving a van to collect recyclable items from customers. The ideal candidate is a team player who is proactive in problem-solving and committed to providing excellent customer service while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license in Texas for at least 3 years.
• Ability to read and follow written or oral instructions in English.
• Experience using pallet jacks and/or balers is a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English digitally over text message and email.
• Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous warehouse and route delivery/pickup experience.
• Experience with GPS and smartphone navigation.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload items into and out of company-owned vans.
• Follow instructions on the Ridwell fleet app for pickups.
• Communicate discrepancies on pickups with driver support.
• Manage time effectively and communicate delays in routes.
• Complete additional stops as requested by driver support or leadership.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Deliver Ridwell bins and bags to new members' houses.
• On-board new members by explaining the service and answering questions.
• Sort items at the warehouse for reuse or recycling.
• Operate light industrial warehouse machinery, such as pallet jacks and balers.
