About The Position
S&S Tire of Shreveport, LA a leading multi-location regional wholesale tire dealer is seeking to add a Warehouse Associate / Backup Driver to our Shreveport, LA Wholesale location. Duties performed in this position include, but are not limited to: Warehouse Receiver tasks, loading, unloading, checking and tallying tires to and from carriers, selecting, packing, counting, marking, palletizing tires of customer orders and placing in the assigned staging areas according to bin locator system. The role also involves checking and verifying accuracy of selecting, packing, weighing, marking, and counting of tires for customer orders, operating order picker, pallet jacks, and other equipment, ensuring safety guidelines are met, performing required counting, tallying and marking on related inventory control documents, participating in cycle and/or annual physical inventories, and maintaining compliance with procedures and policies. Driver tasks include providing excellent customer service, safely operating a 16' to 28' box truck for delivery of products, making collections from customers for merchandise delivered on a Cash on Delivery basis, ensuring good mechanical operation of the vehicle, performing pre-trip vehicle inspections, completing all driver and vehicle maintenance logs, and performing additional responsibilities as requested.
